At Rock & Stone, every piece begins its journey deep within the natural stone quarries of Mexico. Sourced from regions renowned for their rich mineral deposits including Zacatecas, San Luis Potosí, Durango, Oaxaca, and Puebla. Each stone is carefully selected for its unique character, color, and natural beauty.

What starts as a massive block of stone, often weighing over a ton, is transformed through a meticulous process that has been passed down through generations of skilled artisans.

 

Each piece is individually traced, shaped with diamond-tipped tools, and refined through multiple stages of polishing. The final finish is achieved entirely by hand, using six different sanding techniques to reveal the stone's natural depth, texture, and brilliance.

This process takes weeks to complete, ensuring that every bowl, tray, vessel, and decorative object receives the attention it deserves. No two pieces are ever exactly alike each one carries its own natural variations, making it truly one of a kind.
